The Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) has established minimum standards and other requirements for school registration.
Under the VRQA’s Care, Safety and Welfare of Students’ Minimum Standard, a registered school must ensure that:
One of the items of evidence required to demonstrate compliance with this minimum standard is a school's policies and procedures with respect to managing complaints or grievances.
It is also good practice for any organisation to have a complaints policy and procedure in place for all of its stakeholders.
If the VRQA determines that a registered school does not comply with one or more of the minimum standards, it may:
