Do you need to comply?

Yes if you intend applying for, or have received, a capital grant.

Conditions of compliance

Australian Government capital grants supplement funds provided by non-government school authorities, which are primarily responsible for establishing, maintaining and upgrading school facilities.

The program aims to:

  1. provide and improve school capital infrastructure, particularly for the most educationally disadvantaged students
  2. ensure attention to refurbishment and upgrading of capital infrastructure for existing students, while making provision for needs arising from new demographics and enrolments trends
  3. pursue the Commonwealth’s other priorities and objectives for schooling.

If you have to comply, what do you have to do?

Ensure that you follow Commonwealth and VISBGA Guidelines. Visit the VISBGA Capital Grants Program webpage for more information.

What are the consequences if you don’t comply?

You may be unsuccessful in your application for funding, or may be asked to repay any funding that has been received.
