Resiliency Program

Obligations of schools in the expenditure of funding received through the Resiliency Program.

Please scroll to the bottom of the page for contacts and links

Do you need to comply?

Yes, if your school receives funding through the Independent Schools Victoria Resiliency Program.

Conditions of compliance

The Victorian Government is currently providing funding for independent schools to use in student welfare support aimed at preventing youth suicide.

In line with established practice, Independent Schools Victoria will administer the funding for eligible schools.

Independent schools can apply for funding in two areas related to the development and promotion of resilient students. Both areas must focus on primary prevention strategies rather than day-to-day crisis management.

The two areas are:

  • school-based innovative projects
  • professional learning for school staff.

Funding criteria have been drawn from the Victorian Government’s Framework for Student Support Services.

Schools are asked to submit an online application for the funding. A printed copy of the funding application is sent at the end of January, for school use only.

The application and information about completing it is on our website.

If you have to comply, what do you have to do?

Schools are required to meet the requirements of the funding agreement.

What are the consequences if you don’t comply?

You may be required to return any funding received.
