Michelle Carroll, Principal, St Catherine’s School
Michelle Carroll commenced as Principal at St Catherine’s School in 2014. She is a dedicated and inspiring educator with over 27 years’ experience in distinguished Independent girls’ schools in Queensland and in Singapore.
Prior to her role at St Catherine’s School, she was Deputy Principal at St Margaret’s Anglican Girls School, Ascot, Queensland. Her professional background has included leadership positions at Brisbane Girls’ Grammar School and Ipswich Girls’ Grammar School.
As a strong advocate for Independent girls’ education, Michelle is widely recognised for her expertise in adolescent wellbeing, focussing on creating and delivering an educational environment where individual strengths can flourish and girls are empowered to grow into confident, capable and healthy young women.
Michelle graduated from the University of Ballarat with a Bachelor of Education, followed by a Graduate Diploma of Health Studies majoring in Women and Adolescent Health, and a Master of Education Studies from the University of Queensland.
She is committed to honouring the unique heritage of St Catherine’s School, and building strong professional learning pathways for staff and the development of a vibrant educational experience for all students.
Michelle is a member of AHISA and ACEL, a Fellow of AFAIM and the current Treasurer of Girls Sport Victoria.
