As a service provider, the primary responsibility of Independent Schools Victoria is to our membership but we seek to support the education sector in Victoria by sharing our expertise and offering training and, when they are available, the use of our facilities by other organisations.
We recognise that as a major organisation we have a social compact with the Victorian community.
Independent Schools Victoria has negotiated licence agreements with agencies selected by the Australian Government to collect and distribute copyright fees.
This means that schools do not have to seek permission each time they need to make multiple copies of copyright material for educational purposes.
As a member service organisation, Independent Schools Victoria has organised a group purchasing program which provides Member Schools with the opportunity to purchase educational related services and products.
The consolidated buying power of our membership will influence services, products and price offered by suppliers.
Registered Training Organisation
Independent schools do not measure success just in terms of academic performance. They take a broad view of education and provide different pathways for students depending on individual talent, interests and aspirations.Vocational Education and Training (VET) provides an opportunity for innovation in teaching, learning and assessment, leading to practical skills. The Independent Schools Victoria Registered Training Organisation (RTO) is able to help schools deliver VET programs.
Survey and Research Services
Independent Schools Victoria offers a comprehensive survey, analysis and benchmarking service called L E A D – Listen to our stakeholders, Evaluate what is said, Act on this knowledge and Deliver better outcomes.
